As Mother Agnes says in the interview, these videos became quite an obsession for her. Apparently she locked herself in a hotel room and studied them for days on end, highlighting inconsistencies and other signs of fabrication.
The responses to Mother’s analysis have been mixed. Human Rights Watch have (rather bizarrely) publicly discredited Mother while giving their full support to military intervention in Syria (see here)! The United Nations though seems to have taken her very seriously, as did Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, who quoted from Mother’s report as he challenged his US counterpart, John Kerry!
Whatever decision we reach about Mother Agnes’ analysis, it seems extraordinary that one middle-aged nun was able to discover extraordinary inconsistencies with the Ghouta videos while the entire US intelligence network apparently found nothing!
